Due to original sin, being spiritually dead and lacking a relationship with God results in wrath and judgment. The only solution is the sovereign grace of God.
By nature, humans are spiritually dead.

Self-control
Being able to control your body and emotions is important, especially when faced with difficult situations that make you want to do something you shouldn’t. This is called self-mastery.

Humility is commanded by God.
