Jesus the Baptizer in the Holy Ghost

The Supernatural Gift of the Holy Spirit, promised to us in the Bible, is special from all of the manifestations of the Holy Ghost. Jesus said: “But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name. He shall teach you all things! And bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever He have said unto you,” (Jn. 14:26). Christians need the Baptism of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of serving the Lord. We must be endued with power to witness, “(Lk. 24:9; Acts 1:8). Jesus speaks of the Holy Ghost in the following chapters: (Jn. 14:15-17; 14:26; 15:26,27; 16:5-11,12-15).

Elements to be considered in the Deliverance Ministry

The following are elements to be considered prior to the Deliverance ministry:

Rights to be there:When going through the Deliverance Ministry, we must consider the things in a person’s life that could give a demon or evil spirit the right to be there. Some of the issues to be considered are:

Sins that may not have been confessed
Soul ties
Not being able to forgive person/persons
Occult possessions (jewelry, statues etc.)

We must remove the rights of these demons through repentance, renouncing ,and granting forgiveness wherever applicable.

Bondage/Stongholds: We must guard our minds. Demons can have a field day and we will consider what we are thinking as our thoughts when they will belong to the powers of darkness. Other issues are feeling guilty or considering the Lord to be upset with you when this is not the case. We also must consider habits such as smoking, drinking, fornication, watching pornography and other types of similar activity. The Lord sees us as His children and wants us to be free.

Interview with the person to receive deliverance: The crux of the Deliverance ministry depends on the discerning of spirits, however, during a deliverance session the subject that is receiving deliverance will receive a lot more freedom if honesty is practiced. Sometimes issues will come to the ministry of the person which can be relayed to the minister. This type of information is essential (along with the discerning of spirits) to get a person free. These activities include: rapes, molestations, traumas, abuses, rejections and other activities that will come to mind.

The Person of the Holy Spirit

Jesus said: “But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name. He shall teach you all things! And bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever He have said unto you,” (Jn. 14:26). The highlight of the teaching of the Holy Spirit is shown in (Jn. 14-16). These few chapters show the “paraclete sayings” (Jn.14:15-17; 14:26; 15:26,27; 16:5-11,12-15). When we read these chapters and verses we see that by the use of masculine pronouns and adjectives that we should view the Holy Spirit as a male, personal being. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and is shown in the Word as the One that shows us who Jesus Christ is.

The Holy Spirit’s Functions

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity or Godhead. He functions to teach, guide us into truth, cause us to remember the Word of God, to bear witness, and show us things to come, and to glorify Christ. (John 14-16). The Holy Spirit remembers the teachings of Jesus which may not be fully recognized by the believer and will bring them as a fresh understanding and revelation to the reader. These teachings in the Bible become not only revelation knowledge but also truth to the heart and mind of the believer. The Holy Spirit also plays a major part in the witnessing ministry. He acts as to convict and convince the hearer of their sin lives and opens them up to receive Jesus Christ as the personal Saviour. The Holy Spirit also proclaims the judgment that has been issued to Satan (John 16:8-11).

Steps To Deliverance Ministry of Jesus Christ

Steps to Deliverance

Confess sin and make sure that you are a Born Again Saved Christian[more here]
Ask the Lord to fill you with the Holy Spirit[more here]
Repent of and renounce all evil, Including but not limited to: Witchcraft, occult bondage, ungodly soul ties and others that the Lord shows you. Repent of them even to the tenth generation of your ancestors also (Psalms 139: 21-22).[more here]
Make sure that you forgive others[more here]
Be honest with yourself and the Deliverance minister (Psalms 51).[more here]
Cast demons out
Learn and practice your authority in the Lord Jesus Christ[more here]

Steps to Keeping your Deliverance

Let Jesus be the Lord of your life in every area and yield yourself to the guidance of the Holy Spirit[more here]
Be filled with the Holy Spirit (Baptism) and the Word of God (Eph 5:18)[more here]
Devour the Word of God. If available play the Word of God (audio) over your house 24 hours and seven days of week will help tremendously[more here]
Practice putting on the Armour of God found in Ephesians 6[more here]
Practice Binding and Loosing when you feel attack. Call the Deliverance Minister that was in charge of your deliverance if you feel you are overcome by evil spirits[more here]
Avoid sin at all costs
Cultivate Christian fellowship with the people that understand what you went through in deliverance. This would include the Minister that delivered you in the name of Jesus.

Jesus Christ is God in the Flesh

When Jesus walked the earth He did proclaim that He was God. The Bible even shows that Jesus Christ is God. The Jews even tried to stone Jesus for His proclamation of being God. The Jews knew that Jesus was claiming deity. The reader should be drawn to the fact that Jesus did not deny this claim stating that “I and the Father are One” (John 10:30). Jesus was declaring the He and the Father God were one in nature. Jesus also Said in John 8:58:” I tell you the truth, before Abraham was, I am”. When Jesus made this claim the Jews response was to begin to throw stones at Jesus even for the purpose of killing Him for blasphemy according to the Mosaic Law.

John also confirms the fact of Jesus’ deity. John documents that the Word was God and that the Word became flesh. (John 1:1, 14). These words are clear that Jesus Christ came to this earth as God in the flesh. Acts 20:28: also shows that Jesus is God saying: “Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own Blood. We already know whose Blood was shed for the purpose of the Church. Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. Jesus is not just the son of God. Jesus Christ is God.

We see in the Bible also that even doubting Thomas made the declaration the Jesus Christ was “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Notice when you read these versus that Jesus did not correct Thomas. Titus tells us to stand and watch for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Father speaks of Jesus as being “O God” in Hebrews 1:8: Your throne O God will last forever and righteousness will be the scepter of your Kingdom.

The Necessity of Repentance

Repentance involves the changing of a person’s mind. When we feel sorry for what we have not done or what we have done then we are repentant. The dictionary defines repentance as feeling regret or being dissatisfied because of a past intent or action which resulted in changing of mind or of changing a person’s ways.

Repentance is Godly sorrow and to despise sin. Repentance is returning to the Lord and having a right attitude towards Him. Paul mentioned in 2 Corinthians 7:10 that Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of. There is nothing gloomy about repentance. When we repent we are to turn totally from whatever we are sorry for. This turning away means to turn totally away and never look back.

True repentance is followed by proving the change that has been professed. In the book of Acts, the people that repented brought books that were worth fifty thousand pieces of silver and burned them before all. In the First Thessalonians 1:9 the people proved their change by the turning away from idols and serving the true God.
