Deception and God’s Nature
God’s nature and purposes are completely opposed to deception. The gospel is founded on God’s total truthfulness, whereas sin is founded on deception.
Holy Spirit Anointing
To anoint someone means to set them apart, to approve and equip them for a spiritual task. The Holy Spirit uses his activity to set Jesus Christ aside for his ministry of preaching, healing, and deliverance. Christians are set apart by the Holy Spirit for ministry in Christ’s name.
