As Christians: The Word of God should be our priority
” We should not teach new baby Christian to listen for the voice of God
” The Devil doesn’t play fair
” He may lead them to a counterfeit
” We stay in the sheepfold of Jesus by knowing HIS WORD
THE WORD OF GOD IS THE STANDARD THAT WE TEST VOICES AGAINST
Psalm 119:105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
” Says HIS WORD is a lamp
” His word is learned as a building block
Isa 28:9-10 Whom shall he teach knowledge? And whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
” Let the Spirit of God grow you by truth
” Got to start with the milk THEN to the meat
” Stepping stones in the spirit realm
GOD HAS TO GET A HOLD OF NEW CHRISTIAN ZEALOTS TRULY TOUCHED BY GOD (DON’T KNOW THE WORD YET)
Or They will turn into OVER Zealots (EXTREMISTS, FANATICS, NUTS)
” Good to be Hot and on fire for the Lord
” But need to learn and know the Word of God
” Get the milk first -Simple teaching
” Get to know who the Trinity is
” Develop a relationship with the Lord
WE ARE HIS BRIDE
Revelation 19: 7-9 : Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin. Please forgive me. Come into my life. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Now, help me to live for you the rest of this life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus, I pray.
